This is Shairon Taylor, writer/publisher of MMCC Church Blog.  This is a new year, a new season and I am tired of being DISOBEDIENT! (smile)  I've tried to deny the call, but I could no longer just sit there, knowing that God has something more demanding for me to do-PREACH THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST!

Too many souls are perishing everyday. It's time to take it to the streets and spread GOD'S WORD.  Whether you wear a clergy collar or not, if you are a born-again believer, it is your/our sacred duty to share Christ!

Please remember, you can't make anyone get saved.  We do not serve a tyrannical God.  It is our duty to simply put the message out there, in love (without sugar coating), and in truth.

Think about a mail carrier (I know it was God who gave me this illuminating revelation).  A mail carrier's job is to DELIVER THE MAIL TO THE RIGHT ADDRESS/LOCATIONS.  They do not have time to stand there, MAKE YOU OPEN the mail, MAKE YOU READ and ABIDE by the mail (pay bills, etc.).  They simply deliver and leave.  They have other addresses to deliver to!  It is up to YOU to open and read your own mail.

MORAL OF THE STORY:  This is an INDIVIDUAL walk; WE have to make the choice.  We share Christ with people, entreat them to accept Christ as their Savior and repent, turn away from their sins.  If they choose not to, leave them alone and pray for them-Matthew 10:12-14.  The more you badger a person about salvation, it could provoke them to anger and may harden their hearts even more.

Let's be about our Father's business, Saints!  I denied the call too long; Father God, in the name of Jesus Christ, please forgive me.  I want to fulfill Your perfect will for my life.

In Jesus' name, Amen.

Scriptures:  Isaiah 6:5-13, Matthew 28:18-20, John 3:16-18, Acts 1:2-11

Our lives, memories (good, bad and ugly) sometimes act like a motion picture; out of nowhere the "PLAY" button is pushed, the film rolls, showing a particular time/event that played out in your life.  It may be a memory that leaves a warm, fuzzy feeling; it may be a memory that will bring about regret, that follows up with PLAGUES of regrets.  That happens IF we choose to dwell on them and allow the devil to bring on those things that comes behind regret-guilt, depression, low self-esteem, etc.

If you've already wholeheartedly repented, get up, shake yourself and go on in Jesus' name!  Saints, God doesn't like to see us beat ourselves up over things that are done away with, especially the things that HE HAS ALREADY FORGIVEN US FOR....LET IT GO!

There is a particular secular song that I'm reminded of entitled Constipation Blues by Screamin' Jay Hawkins (Ok, I know some of you are wondering "where is she going with this?")  Well, during the song, he screams "LET IT GO!  LET IT GO!  LET IT GO!  I don't think I can take much more, let it go!"

Now (LOL), although it is quite clear that he was talking about "something else," you can look at that in a spiritual sense.  God wants us to get to the point to where we can't take anymore, to let it go and LET GOD TAKE CARE OF IT!  The battle is not ours, it's the Lord's.  PLUS, all of those bad memories of mistakes, regrets-LET IT GO!!!  Someone once said, "LET GO and LET GOD."  Let God be God!

Let's follow what Apostle Paul says in Philippians 3:13-14:  Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,  14I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
